Working draft. Not legal advice - counsel review before relying on this as final.
Need help with Next Nap? Email support.nextnap@gmail.com and tell us what happened, which iPhone and iOS version you use, and what you expected. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.
Below are answers to common questions. For how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy. For the rules of using the app, see the Terms of Use.
How does sync and co-parent sharing work?
Sync and sharing use Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). When you enable sharing, you invite another caregiver and they see the household data you choose to sync. Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud on your devices. Syncing can take a moment, and it depends on your connection and iOS settings, so we cannot promise instant updates. If something looks out of date, open the app on both devices, check your connection, and try again later.
Does Next Nap support twins?
Yes. Next Nap is built for tracking two children (twins) as well as one. Each child has their own profile and log.
How do I delete my data?
- In the app: Settings > Danger zone > Delete everything & start over.
- By email: write to support.nextnap@gmail.com and ask us to delete your data.
Deleting the app or your data does not cancel an Apple subscription. See the subscriptions section below. Device backups and Apple-controlled systems can take additional time to clear, as described in the Privacy Policy.
My Live Activity or reminders are not updating
Live Activities and reminders can be delayed by iOS. Things that can affect them include Low Power Mode, Background App Refresh, notification and Live Activity permissions, and connectivity. Try opening the app and checking those settings. Please do not rely on them as the only way to keep track of your child.
Do I need iCloud? Is my data stored on my device?
Core logging is designed to work on your device without iCloud. Sync and co-parent sharing need you to be signed in to iCloud. If you are not signed in, the app works the same and your logs stay on that device; Settings > Household shows how to turn on sharing once you sign in.
Subscriptions, Restore Purchases, and cancelling
- Access requires a paid subscription, monthly or yearly, billed by Apple. A 7-day free trial is offered on the yearly plan only; the monthly plan has no trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in the app. Two days before the free week ends, Next Nap sends a reminder so you can decide in time.
- Restore Purchases: if you changed devices or reinstalled the app, use Restore Purchases in the app to recover your subscription. Use the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
- Cancel or manage: in iOS, open Settings, tap your name (Apple ID), then Subscriptions, and choose Next Nap.
- Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store rules. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but you can request one from Apple.
A note on health
Next Nap is an informational parenting tool, not a medical device. Predictions and insights are estimates. If you have a health concern about your child, contact a qualified clinician.
